Jim was the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust and then moved roles as a Strategic Advisor for Digital Programmes where he led the Global Digital Exemplar (GDE) programme.  He is also the Senior Responsible Owner (SRO) for regional digital and data programmes including patient empowerment and telehealth. In the last year, Jim led the development of the CIPHA (Combined Intelligence for Population Health Action) programme across Cheshire and Merseyside – a fully integrated data platform supporting health and care colleagues manage the COVID-19 pandemic. Jim has 18 years senior experience in the NHS at Board level in primary and secondary care leading on strategy, digital transformation and performance improvement.
