A message from our Managing Director - Stephen Appleton

Today marks a significant milestone as NHS Informatics Merseyside (IM) celebrates 20 years of digital service. 

Over the past two decades, IM has played a key role in supporting and delivering digital transformation across health and care, helping organisations embrace technology to improve services for patients, colleagues and communities. Our achievements would not have been possible without the dedication, expertise and commitment of our people. Together, we have delivered innovative solutions, supported major digital programmes and built lasting relationships that continue to make a difference every day. 

Today, IM proudly provides digital and IT services to organisations across the Cheshire and Merseyside, and beyond, and our success is testament to the collaboration, commitment and expertise of everyone who has been part of our journey. 

As we celebrate this special anniversary, we are also delighted to welcome digital colleagues transferring from the Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (CSU), who join us on the very day we mark our 20th birthday. It feels particularly fitting that, as we reflect on everything we have achieved over the past 20 years, we are also beginning an exciting new chapter. We look forward to building on our shared experience, knowledge and ambition together, and to shaping the future as one team. 

A huge thank you to you all. Whether you have worked with us, supported us, partnered with us, been one of our valued customers, or are joining us as new colleagues, you are all a part of the IM story.
