Desktop and mobile device support
IT support requests which cannot be resolved immediately by the IT service desk, and require a site visit, are referred to NHS Informatics Merseyside’s desktop and mobile device support service.
IT hardware and software deployment
All IT hardware and software is purchased through our configuration management service. This equipment is then installed by our desktop engineers, who ensure all of the IT equipment has been correctly configured, to an agreed build, and that all software applications have been installed correctly and work as required.
IT hardware and software repair
Our skilled technicians carry out diagnostics and repair services covering many types of equipment, and liaise with third party software and hardware suppliers where appropriate.
Supported hardware include PCs, laptops, monitors, printers and scanners as well as mobile devices including Apple and Android smartphones and tablets.
Operating systems such as Microsoft Windows 7/10, Apple MAC OS are supported, as well as business applications including Microsoft Office and products requiring JAVA or .NET.
Our technicians have an excellent understanding of a large number of clinical systems in use including EMIS or RiO and are fully able to configure devices such as printers and scanners, which interface with these clinical systems.
IT equipment moves
Informatics Merseyside has significant experience in supporting NHS estate management plans and has supported a number of large relocation moves. Our technicians help ensure the safe and efficient relocation of IT equipment, including re-installation, working hard to ensure all of our IT users are reconnected quickly, with minimum disruption to service provision.
